Creating A Tranquil Inner Sanctum - The Art of Decluttering Through A Transformative Living Space.

Clutter can affect our anxiety levels, sleep and ability to focus, hence, The Sage House, explores the action of seamlessly keeping objects and appliances out of one’s view. It gives the home owners agency to decide what and when to conceal and reveal, thus making each act an intentional one.

The design begins with a 9-meter-long concealed storage unit in light oak, stretching from the entrance lobby to the windows, which visually elongates the space and guides the eye toward the scenic views outside. This storage unit includes spaces for shoes, books, and a retractable wall-mounted TV, efficiently combining functionality with aesthetics.

The open-plan living, dining, and dry kitchen areas are designed to foster interaction and fluid movement. By removing false ceilings and incorporating cove lighting, the spaces are made loftier and softly illuminated, minimizing glare and enhancing relaxation. Glass sliding doors separate the wet kitchen when needed, keeping it out of sight during cooking and maintaining a clutter-free appearance.

The master bedroom features a full-glass open-concept bathroom that introduces more light and visually enlarges the space. Privacy is adjustable with curtains that can separate the bedroom from the bathroom when desired.
